This is a good place for students that need quick housing but the book keeper specifically was not friendly...not once in all my encounters with her. The student staff and managers were super friendly though! My main complaint is with the book keeper and the disorganization of everything. The maintenance was for the most part timely on fixing issues except when I was without ac for a weekend in the summer... my room was constantly hot regardless of broken AC or not in two apartments but my roommates always had a cool room. Before the coronavirus hit, I signed a lease with them for another year. I was expecting another normal year at The Village. I became very depressed and decided to move back home because I was struggling paying rent and classes got moved too online. They have denied me to cancel my lease because I can’t pay rent (because of the virus) and I moved back home that is an hour away. The Village on Sixth provides many necessary amenities, includes utilities, and personal rent. Most of the staff workers are friendly and personable and will try their best to help you, but there are many mishaps and disorganization. A few salient examples include: receiving the wrong address upon request, being locked out of my room, and being welcomed to a filthy bathtub. Trying to get a lease is next to impossible and they move you in with the most random people despite the profile sheet. The units are completely outdated... read more

I really enjoy all that the Village has to offer. Giveaways, special events, and the like. And it's a really great deal: the Village has some of the most affordable rates for Marshall students like me.
