Best Hairdresser in Houston – There is NO place better in Houston! The salon itself is stunning, the staff at the front desk couldn't be nicer, friendlier or more helpful. But THE MOST important person in this salon, to me, is Louis Lopez. I was Louis' first cient when he graduated from school. I love my hair!!! – Carri Winegar at The Upper Hand salon did a fabulous job on my hair yesterday! The color looks awesome and I have received several compliments from friends and family since I left the salon. Her assistant Mickey does a great job styling as well. If you are looking for a great stylist in the Houston area you need to call The Upper Hand and book your appointment with Carri. She's a perfectionist, friendly, and efficient.
Carri W. is GREAT! – After having a bad experience with my last colorist... I was referred to the Upper Hand salon. What a great experience! Carri W. was so great. She is so personable and knew exactly what I needed for the right hair color and cut. What a professional, she really listened to me! She rocks! I highly recommend her. You can tell she loves what she does and that definatley reflects in her work.
Best Hair Stylist – This is a long overdue review. I have been going to Carri W. for some time now and would follow her around the world if I had to. It is a bonus that she is now at the Upper Hand. Don't get your lashes tinted here – It was my first time at The Upper Hand and I had went in to get my eyelashes tinted. I asked the stylist what she recommended because I was hestitant in getting it done. She told me that it would make my lashes look fuller and darker. So I did it. After the service, my lashes looked the same as they did when I walked in. It was a waste of money. I do not recommend getting your eyelash tinted here.

Great staff and best haircuts! – This is the best place to get your hair cut in Houston. After moving into the loop I was having problems breaking away from my childhood hair dresser who had been cutting my hair since grade school. I finally found someone that I trust with my hair and that has an honest opinion and won't try to talk me into something crazy that I won't like! Nice Salon – The people at this salon are really nice. I had gone a few times to get my hair colored & I was happy with the results but the last time I went ( a long time ago), I felt the stylist was rushed and I was sitting to process for a long time w/the lightener in the foils. It doesn't bother me that a stylist may have other clients in between my appointment but it's also nice to know that you haven't been forgotten about and having lightener in your hair for too long isn't really a good thing. You gotta try this salon! – After 15+ years of great haircuts at a local chain salon, I was ready for something new. So I took a chance on The Upper Hand after reading a few reviews. I had my hair cut and colored at the Royal Oaks location by Danielle. She's new on the block, but don't let that fool you! She was very knowledgeable and her confidence set me at ease.
