I have been meaning to get on here and write my thoughts on MD A since I first "interviewed" them early December 2016. I had a recurrence of a brain glioma cancer and had a craniotomy at another well known cancer institution. My cancer was first found in 2005. This is 11 years later. The other institution, knowing the cancer had crossed the mid line of my brain, and unable to remove anything, wanted me on a wait and watch every 2-3 months with MRIs. My husband and I did our research and found Proton Beam Radiation. I made a s... read more

I've never been to this place before. I was in only one of the many buildings they have but I was amazed. It's a huge place and I just knew I'd get lost but when my sister in law and I got a "now where do I go" look on our faces, people would just ask us, "where do you need to go"? Everyone was so helpful and didn't we even need to ask for help. This place is such a blessing in so many ways.

If you have to be in a place like this, MD Anderson is the place to be. Everyone has been extremely helpful and friendly. The physicians are the best, most aggressive and most knowledgeable.

We have been coming here for five years. This is a top notch facility. We are so sad that my husband's oncologist recently passed away. We are nervous about the new doctor but are sure he will take great care of my husband. Rest In Peace Dr. Francisco Turturro, you will be sorely missed!

Went there in 2013 for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Six months of chemo and still in remission. The best place for a nasty disease.

I've never been in a place that offers as much care, compassion and competence as MDA. Their staff is wonderful. Special thanks to Dr. Schmeler and her staff, Dr. Baile and his staff, and Dr. Karen Chen and her staff. I always feel welcome, well cared for, and never feel rushed or like I'm a bother. It's not just that they saved my life, it's that they continue to care for me like I'm their only patient. When you see the masses that pass through MDA, and still feel special, you know they're doing something right.

I took my sister from Corpus Christi. She always has great experiences because the staff is friendly and professional. They are always able to get her vein without hurting her or having to redo.
