My review of UMMC - it has never really been my choice of hospital to visit. I usually go to St. Dominic’s. But if my memory is correct someone told me to go to UMMC since I had head trauma and that’s where the ambulance took me. I don’t clearly remember how I was treated on Friday as I was suffering from a major concussion. Saturday the nurses ignored me when I called them. They would not help give me a bath. I called the front desk and asked to let me speak to the nurses station, well dumb butt transfers me to her room, and of course the phone rang & rang. I called back and told her to do what I asked her. What in the hell is wrong with employees @ UMC??
I was at University Heart for a catheter ablation for SVT arrhythmia. My EP is Dr. Tanniwuttiwat. She is outstanding! The nurses, anesthesiologist, etc were awesome! This is THE place to go for heart problems. I had life saving surgery for a heart defect at age 5 here, and now this as I have aged. I am so thankful I came here!
great Hospital
I just underwent a colonoscopy at the University GI clinic, and I must say I was quite impressed. As a nurse myself, I can be rather a harsh critic of my colleagues. However, every single person I interacted with was kind, compassionate, professional, had a great sense of humor, and seemed to genuinely love their job. My sister Vera Childress Horton is a patient in this hell hole. She went to university medical center yesterday 6/1/18, she was admitted for observation. She fell in her hospital room while trying to go to the bathroom and sustained injury to her forehead and had to get sutures. Her son asked if an incident report had been done last night and he was told an incident report wasn't done. Later this evening he was told an incident report was done today but he couldn't have a copy. Since she fell with a sitter in the room he was... read more
