The gentleman I spoke to was extremely rude, and made me feel as though I didn't belong in his store. Absolutely uncalled for. Will NEVER spend any money here.

Business response:

Very sorry you had a bad experience.

I stopped in the store because the sugar skulls lining the window lured me in. I was immediately struck by the magnificent, colorful artwork and then, of course, drawn to the beautiful jewelry. The gentleman I spoke to answered all of my random questions and I truly felt like I learned so much after a mere 30 minutes in the store. Business response:

Hi Brooke. I am so happy that you enjoyed your experience at the Turquoise Door and had fun learning about our art and jewelry! All of our jewelry (other than the Baltic Amber) is designed and produced by Native American artisans (Zuni, Navajo and Pueblo tribes) in New Mexico. I wasn't there today but I know which beautiful cactus necklace you must have picked out and wanted let you know that it is a Navajo piece. Thanks for coming in!

I went there in June of 2012 and I absolutely fell in love with the store. The artwork, the man who helped us, it was so long ago but if I find his name I'll update. He was extremely helpful and had such a cheery and happy demeanor as he showed us through the store. Best customer service I've seen. The artwork was INCREDIBLE! I had never seen anything like it. I'm from Seattle so we have a little bit of a different art scene. I felt this store really dropped you into the Austin art scene and I loved it. I ended up buying two... read more
