I’m a turquoise collector and when I walked into this place I felt like I hit the motherload! Beautiful pieces, no pressure to buy and super chill store.
Fell in love with this store years back because of all of the amazing hand made pieces. I love opal jewelry and they have so many pieces with opal in it! Not to mention all of the sculptures are very unique and always fun to look at even if you’re not purchasing. A must place to stop by on Congress st.
My husband and I stumbled on this amazing gallery during a recent trip to Austin. It is filled with so many wonderful, interesting things; we could've stayed there for hours! We bought a few treasures and had them shipped. Not only were the shop owners lovely, knowledgeable people, they are experts in packing. We were so impressed with the care that was taken to ship everything to us safely.
The Turqoiuse Door is amazing. I hope it never leaves South Congress. I found the exact ring I have been looking for. Seriously, the most fabulous duo in Austin.
Love this place! The owners are knowledgeable, friendly, and always a pleasure to deal with. Great and beautiful selections and prices. Since 2007, I always try to make them a must stop-by/shop-by visit when I’m in town.
Business response:
We're sorry you had a negative experience. However, our gallery is a dangerous place for a stroller. Children are wonderful but it truly is in our best interest not to allow strollers as our walkways are very narrow and many of the pieces on display are expensive. The policy protects our artwork and our customers. The last thing we'd want is an expensive accident. If you come back without a stroller we'd be very happy to serve you.
The Turquoise Door has a 3.8 star rating with 29 reviews.
