Its beautiful cottage rooms and sleek whirlpool suites make you feel at home, while breathtaking views of Little Traverse Bay soothe your senses further on. The Devol Dining Room can house about 125 guests and hosts Christmas parties, buffets, business dinners and so on. Bay View Terrace Inn has seasonal rates and menus for its guests.

This small hidden getaway is so perfect. My dad John worked for bayview and got a room for my husband and I for a night away from our kids. Or should I say a extended date night. The rooms are so cute and cozy and the drinks and food were amazing. My husband and I got the Rueben pizza and it was amazing. Nice setting, but room walls are thin and you can hear everything in your neighboring rooms. And no accessible outlets to charge your phone. What good is an historic hotel if it hasn’t been updated to accommodate modern life?!
There's lots to recommend! They have done an excellent job of keeping much of the near-turn-of-the-century feel with the twist of a few more modern conveniences (like wi-fi, tvs and a/c in some rooms). It is gorgeous and full of character, a semi-posh and relaxing atmosphere, and a very friendly and attentive staff. A historic part of the beautiful Bay View community, with wonderful Petoskey just a stones throw (walk or trolley) away.

nice neighborhood. nice place that they try to keep somewhat authentic. they seem to keep it clean...but you can see a lot of deferred maintenance that could be done to help the overall appearance. it is over 100 years old so it is probably an ongoing battle to maintain the establishment. we didnt eat in the restaurant...but there was no tables available on the Friday night we were there. completely booked due to popularity. I also spoke with guests that had fantastic things to say about the food.
We’re baaack and enjoying Happy Hour cocktails that match our outfits! Our favorite inn with some of our favorite people.

Second time here in 9 months. Very helpful staff and great breakfasts. Despite the small rooms and poor sound insulation, the atmosphere here very calming. Sitting outside and having a nice drink on the “terrace “ is a pleasant way to relax. Highly recommend this place for those looking to unwind.
Very nice vintage hotel atmosphere!! Staff are very down to earth and helpful! We’re staying here this evening and we’d recommend this hotel highly to anyone who might be in the area and looking to stay at a place that has old world charm and a warm inviting environment!
