The Bay View Terrace Inn is a gorgeous Victorian bed and breakfast in downtown Petoskey. It dates back to 1911 and is one of the few remaining historic inns of Northern Michigan. Its beautiful cottage rooms and sleek whirlpool suites make you feel at home, while breathtaking views of Little Traverse Bay soothe your senses further on. The Devol Dining Room can house about 125 guests and hosts Christmas parties, buffets, business dinners and so on. Bay View Terrace Inn has seasonal rates and menus for its guests.

Sitting on the porch is exactly the peaceful, quiet you’re seeking when you come “up north.” Living up here, we eat plenty of fresh fish, but tonight’s Walleye was some of the best we’ve had. Still too full to experience the blueberry pie we brought home.
I stayed at the Inn 6/2020. Cute room, quiet, super clean. The front desk and restaurant staff were wonderful. A delicious made-to-order breakfast is included, I couldn’t finish all mine. Coffee, tea, water, etc available all day free. Location was terrific, close to everything, and if you go walking, any way you walk is a nice view. Lots of seating in front, back, and inside the inn to relax, read, or chat. I’ll definitely stay again over the standard hotels. Can’t beat the price for this nice stay!

recently stayed may 28 to may 31 2020 at the terrace inn for 3 nights and patty and mo were awesome. loved the room (315) the staff was just amazing cant wait to return.

Hi Pete..we sold our place in Grand Haven about 4 years ago. If you like log cabins we will be renting our Lake Supervior cabin our this spring/summer. Adorable and amazing views. very cute and cozy and historice
I was excited to have dinner at the “old” inn. I was less than impressed with the appetizers. Then when I received my meal the whitefish was cold. Also the atmosphere is very noisy. Definitely not family friendly. We won’t be back.

Dear Richards' River Guide..Not sure if this is you..but everyone saw your post and I was trying to find out how to contact you to discuss your negative comments about your experience at the Terrace Inn. Unfortunately, we didn't have your phone number so could not talk to you directly. I asked the servers and they did not remember you talking about being unhappy with your food..I expect that if guests aren't happy they tell the servers and the server would then tell management and the chef so they can "fix" the problem i.e. ... read more
