The Bay View Terrace Inn is a gorgeous Victorian bed and breakfast in downtown Petoskey. It dates back to 1911 and is one of the few remaining historic inns of Northern Michigan. Its beautiful cottage rooms and sleek whirlpool suites make you feel at home, while breathtaking views of Little Traverse Bay soothe your senses further on. The Devol Dining Room can house about 125 guests and hosts Christmas parties, buffets, business dinners and so on. Bay View Terrace Inn has seasonal rates and menus for its guests.

RecommendedThe food and atmosphere are good. I love the historic area and the Inn is quaint. However, the service was lacking. Our waitress admitted she didn’t know anything about the wines when I asked for a Chardonnay recommendation. She never brought bread or refilled the water until we had been sitting 25 minutes and finally saw her to ask. The waitress stacked our plates at the table one on top of the other. I (innkeeper) was washing dishes and Mo (innkeeper) had to do salads and desserts so couldn't properly host so Jill (front desk) normally who thanks and says goodbye was also bussing. We love the relaxing atmosphere at this enchanting Inn. We really felt as if we went back in time. It is cozy, clean and accommodating!! We love the short walk down through the yards, over the bridge and to Little Traverse Bay. Feeling special as we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast buffet in the 1911 dinning room with chandeliers & linen table cloths
A kind staff and very aware and mindful of keeping things COVID clean. Beautiful classic design and the floors and door frames are all a bit crooked which adds to the authenticity. Small but we expected that since it was built in the 1911 era. We loved the garden, outside decks, complimentary breakfast and good coffee. Very lovely stay.
wonderful meal! The chef came out to ask me about my food sensitivities and cooked my food without onions and garlic! It was delicious!
Jill was such a help to us this evening. she accomdated us with dinner after hours given that we were a flight crew coming in a little later in the evening. We called ahead our dinner order and it was ready upon arrival. The venue is super romantic and beautiful sunset views just 7 mins walking distance. Absolutely in love with the history of this place!
We have been coming here for years, it is my Michigan happy place. Patty and Moe are wonderful hosts. The food is fantastic! the best planked whitefish anywhere. Chef Zak is amazing.

Sorry..I got a paper towel holder and no paper towels. I don't have any at home either and or in the bar..I was so busy cleaning I didn't have a chance to get any. But I got kitchen towels!
