Went to Old Salem for the day with our son and our very small and well behaved dachshund. He was travelling in a completely enclosed backpack carrier. According to multiple online sources like BringFido.com, dogs are welcome on The Tavern's patio. We planned to have our Sunday meal at The Tavern but we were told the patio where dogs were allowed was closed for a private event so we couldn't stay. Interestingly enough, the large outdoor patio should have allowed plenty of seating for both the private event and other patrons. ... read more
