We had dinner there last night, and as usual it was wonderful. I ordered the NY strip with vegetables and cheese stuffed potato dumplings. My spouse ordered the porterhouse pork chop. Both dishes were outstanding. Our server Millie was extremely attentive and very informative in helping us decide which dishes we should try. Thanks!!! We’ll definitely be back again and again!

We had the chicken pie & the meatloaf both served with delicious mashed red potatoes & green beans cooked to perfection. ALL REALLY GOOD! Service fantastic....made recommendations when asked & suggested the syllabub for dessert which was a new experience for both of us. Highly recommend saving room for THAT! We shared one.

Had dinner at the Tavern last night. I had the steak over vegetables and my sister had the chicken. Both meals were absolutely awesome. They were presented beautifully and tasted even better. I do wish the wait staff at night was dressed authentically just as they do of the day.

One of the most pleasant meals I've had in Winston-Salem in a long time. The cheese and cured meat slates were delicious and beautifully presented (duck bacon!). The PEI mussels were rich and sweet. And the braised wild boar shank with parmesan spaetzle - why, the carrots almost made me cry. The weather was surprisingly mild so we were able to enjoy the sunset from the porch. Our server, Mary-Louise, was knowledgeable and attentive. Such a lovely evening. I'm eager to return for brunch.
