Next to Uninhabitable Work being done on the building has been painfully loud and is literally shaking my apartment, rendering it basically uninhabitable between 9am and 5pm for the past six months. My heating and air conditioning have also been broken for months now and despite multiple "repairs" done by the management they have still been unable to get it working. Please consider anyplace else right now!

Crazy charges after leaving Ok location, but they will nickel and dime you when leaving (lots of money) and if you drive a car you'll be paying about $300 a month and you'll often get blocked in by the valet without warning. To the response below: your team just got back to me to inform me that they don't really care. I swept and mopped the apartment before leaving and still got charged north of $100 for cleaning.

Don't Waste your Time....Really This place turned out to be a waste of my morning. The staff didn't respect my time and they definitely are disorganized. They didn't even take responsibility for their error. "The ball was dropped," no you dropped the ball and I am too busy for your careless errors. How do you think I would even let you handle my sensitive banking and personal information. This building also did not seem nearly as nice as their pictures. I recommend skipping completely.

A complete disaster There is a terrible construction work conducted by the landlord on our bedroom facade. It has been continued for a month. Huge noise. Dust and bad chemical smells are all over our bedroom. A complete disaster!

Great Service Preparing to move into The Statesman, which is in a fantastic location! Ciera and the office staff have been so helpful in answering questions and juggling schedules for viewing, move-in, etc.--a huge plus! The apartments are BIG and the complex is well-run. Looking forward to our new home!

Top Apartment in Foggy Bottom Overview: The Statesman is a great apartment building if you are looking to live in a nice neighborhood of DC without spending a fortune. It is a clean building The majority of tenants are GW students. Pricing: They offer studio and one bedroom apartments with a couple of different choices in regard to square footage and layouts. The apartments have good lighting, clean floors, and a great amount of storage space (I live in a studio apartment that has three closets and great cabinet space in bot... read more

Great Apartment for Students I have broken this review up into sections for easier reading. Overview ----------- Compared to the other apartments in Foggy Bottom, The Statesman has reasonable rent for the quality of living and location. Other apartments nearby with lower quality floors, walls, windows, etc were $100-$200 MORE than The Statesman. The Statesman offers roof access, a laundry room, workout room and 24/7 concierge desk. There is also a parking garage beneath the building, but that is managed by a separate company... read more
