I absolutely loved spending the night at the Stanley! Such a beautiful Hotel and historic, I am looking forward to going back again someday, plus the drive there is gorgeous!
Anyone who is visiting Estes Park must see the Stanley Hotel, its the crown jewel of the entire town. For $20 bucks, you are given an awesome tour of the very same hotel that inspired Steven King to write The Shining; additionally, it was a featured location in Dumb and Dumber, Ghost Hunters and Steven King's remake of The Shining (not to be confused with Kubrick's version of The Shining). One of my favorite places ever. Had MANY experiences and loved every single minute. Truly a must on your bucket list. Can't wait to go back for my 5th time!!!
The hotel and tour were amazing. However, we had lunch in the restaurant and were extremely disappointed in the service. We had to find a waitress to order every time. We had reservations for the patio but were squeezed into a table in the restaurant way too small for our party, even with the restaurant not busy. We felt like we were putting the waitress out any time we asked for anything. Very disappointed in the service especially with how pricey the restaurant was!
I came to the Stanley a few years ago for a tour. It was everything I imagined! I am currently planning a stay with a friend, hopefully in October! It's beautiful and amazing. 5 star no question.

ok went to Hotel then watched the Shinning ? how can u say it was filmed here.The outside clearly is not this Hotel ???was it the idea ?cause the outside looks like the Hotel at Mt Hood Clearly not here
