Had a business meeting and a couple of drinks at The Rooftop Bar at the Standard. Lovely setting with a helpful staff and attentive bartender. good selection of drinks comfortable seating nestled in between the buildings of DTLA. Going back soon!
The staff impressed me, each employee was there to help and did. The platform beds re not for the elderly. The food was rally good �
This place totally Sucked!
Staying at the Standard was one of the worst experiences of my life. Our sink was clogged, we called 2 times to get it fixed but they never fixed it so we spent the weekend with a useless clogged sink full of toothpaste and spit. Then when we left on Sunday they had 1 person so the Valet took exactly 26 minutes to get my car. When they got my car they gave it back to me with a HUGE scratch down the side of it and never said anything to me about the damage. It then took them 1.5 hours to write up a report on it and I have a s... read more
No good. They made a big mistake - DUPLICATE BILLING for the room charge charge - through a hotel reservation agent and by The standard to my credit card. They did not give a notice of correction or apology. They may think it would be OK as they returned the money. I could find the duplicate billing but if I overlooked at it ....
I love it. Around here throw a rock and you hit a dozen business or family-friendly hotels. The Standard is an oasis in a culture of the well-behaved - the one hotel that is a very nice mod hipster place where singles and couples can feel free to get naughty and blow off some steam - or enjoy those that do :)
