We were there for brunch. Food was good but wasn't as hot as I felt it should be. Fries were a bit cool. Staff is friendly and prompt! Definitely worth another try!
So disappointed. Visited Saturday night and, as I'm a local, I've been here several times and always had it listed as a favorite of mine. This trip changed all of that. We arrived at 430, before the crowd, and it took 10 minutes to even be acknowledge at the bar. The oysters we ordered were great and the guys shucking them were great as well. Awful, poor waiter was waiting on inept kitchen staff. They even tried to make up for it with free deserts but the kitchen staff couldn't even get that in a reasonable amount of time. Decent food but won't be back
Food was great, service was just ok. Very good Bloody Mary's and shrimp n' grits. They asked if we wanted biscuits for the table and we said sure, we were unaware that they charge for them, not a big deal just kind of annoying. Also, they were out of the bourbon my husband orders so our waiter took it upon himself to order him a more expensive bourbon. Again, not a big deal but just annoying that we're not asked.
Being local to the area, I know what I'm talking about when I say this place has sadly turned into another downtown tourist trap. Although the oysters were fairly good, my service, drinks and entree were quite the opposite. I ordered the fish and grits at my server's suggestion. Worst. Mistake. Ever. Atmosphere was great, service was even better. Kind of shocked at the $103 price for my nudie with asparagus and fries, but it was one of the best steaks I've had.
Excellent oysters, drinks, and atmosphere. Highly recommended!
