The Greatest Dive Ever! – I must say that "The Slip" as my friends and I like to call it, is a GREAT place. I have meet some really wonderful people there. It is a Fun, diverse dive bar. The music is incredible, the ability for a DJ to cater to a diverse crowd is a gift. A complete dive! – Ya'll the Slip Inn is a DIVE. Dark, loud, crowded, sweaty, crude & sometimes rude, the bartenders have been known to make customers cry (due to bad tipping), on Saturday the DJ is sketchy, and the bouncers scary, and the regulars? you'd think they own that place! And yes, if you aren't a good customer, someone will tell you about yourself. I guess I'm the worst DJ in Dallas. – This is a response to the girl's post that is two below mine. I am the DJ that wished a girl got AIDS. She had stuck her hand into my tip jar and withdrew money. If you work in any kind of service industry where you receive tips, then you'd know that taking money out of a tip jar is- in my opinion- the worst thing you can do to a bartender or DJ. Worst DJ in Dallas – Wow...what a classy place. That is, if you like to hear your DJ on mircophone tell a female customer he hopes she dies a slow and painful death of AIDS.... because she got him upset over a tip??? The music was terrible, the bathroom line long and again IGNORANT bald chubby DJ. I can't believe the owner would want a DJ like that representing this place, not exactly a southern gentleman. It was my second time giving this place a try and most definately the LAST.
The Truth About Slip Inn – The Slip Inn has the best DJ of any bar in the Dallas area for starters. The diversity is what gives the bar character. People who go there with attitudes never last long. The bathroom line is the greatest place to meet new people. This bar is not for complainers!
great people watching... – ...only if you like to watch mouth-breathing knuckle draggers dry bump squeaky voiced girls whose idea of how good they look doesn't match up to reality. But if you're a black playa, a white black playa wannabe or just some dumb frat boy who's trying to tell the difference, this place is for you. Sadly, I think the clientele thinks this place is more discerningly sophisticated than their usual haunts like Blue.
