History Established in 1920. The Ship has been around since the early 1900's the exact date is unknown- We were originally located in a building that stood where John's Market presently is. We moved to our current location in 1946 where we've been movin' and shakin' ever since. Over the last several decades we've gone from having only one beer on tap and just a few in the cooler to our present selection of over 60+ beers both bottled and on draft, not to mention our currently expanding liquor selection. I love the Ship. Great drink selection. Excellent staff - that are amazing!! Great place and they are where I go to watch the Cubs (Go Cubbies!!) However don't waste your money on the jukebox. Their speakers are crap. You can't hear the songs you pay for.

So happy that there’s a nice beer selection! Also happy to see bands that I actually want to see, booked in deep SW! Glad that it’s still a great neighborhood joint, with just enough updates to bring it up to date. Kudos to the new ownership, you are doing a great job!!!
First time at this place and I really liked it. The bartender and ppl there were very nice and a pleasant places to relax and have a drink. I definatly will be returning.
Atmosphere strawberry roan and I love the live music and the atmosphere is nice but the service is a little less than pleasurable
This place service sucked and the food was bad for the price. I think my husband and I even got food poision. Usually places that are hole in the wall are great this one is not. Never will go there again.
