They say your last impression is your overall impression and remarkably The Ritz Tahoe nailed it. We checked in and we were asked to place a card on file for incidentals and were told the card hold would not exceed over $150 per day yet our credit card was charged $840 without the best well-trained explanation. Additionally, we purchased drinks from the pool bar which were served in plastic and attempted to enjoy them in the pool but we were embarrassedly shouted at across the pool from a “gentleman” named Gus. Issue after issue. We checked in and was asked for a card to hold a $100 incidentals (typical for hotels) I had an $840.00 hole on my card. We purchased drinks from the pool side bar and entered the pool with them like everyone else. Upon entering the pool we were screamed at by an employee that no drinks were allowed. Upon talking to the G. M. he told us that drinks are acceptable in the pool. To add to the situation my fiancé and I were in contact with the wedding planner to discuss this venue as an option for our wedding.... read more
