This hotel canceled my accommodations two days prior to my arrival. I had booked this room months in advance and paid for it in full. $500. It was a trip for my husband’s birthday. We have tickets to the Browns/Steelers game and planned an overnight stay. We were going to arrive early in the day with other friends, have dinner, go to the game and go out after in the City. Yes, this is a comfortably appointed hotel (it is a Ritz, after all), but the truly distinguishing factor for me was the warm guest service attitude of the staff, especially from those on the “Front Line” of service and guest experience (Front Desk, Valet Lobby, Housekeeping). Despite how many guest encounters and requests I can only imagine they get, everyone was unfailing warm and welcoming.
