While this hotel is a bit dated and needs some tender loving care, the $99 deal is beyond amazing! We found the staff to be very kind and very attentive. The waitresses in the dining room were sweet & friendly...and the food(!), very generous ! And even though we did not bring a pet it was charming to see a few dogs around the property. The ducks: yes, there were about 20 but the patio was hosed off early in the morning which made sitting out there with our coffee extremely enjoyable! Very dirty inside and out of the lodge. Had to beg them to open the bar. The room however was clean but outdated. Cabins are much nicer a little furthe up the mountain. Wont stay or eat here again. Dining glasses were dirty flies in dining area. Patio cover with duck shit. Gross.

This could be a Goldmine, however, it's not. Very underwhelming! Clean room, very salty meal.
Had a very pleasant 2 night stay. Had it not been for the pet friendly environment I would of spent the long hot weekend in Vegas. Thank you for being a pet friendly hotel. I had an upper room with a balcony, although small it was nice siting out there in the cool mountain air. The room is dated and there is no refrigerator or coffee maker. But... they have a nice little snack/coffee bar down off the lobby. Very friendly staff. The restaurant takes "to go" orders which was very convenient.

Went to the resort for dinner with my wife. Great view from the dining room. Service was slow but attentive. Awesome appetizers. Delicious salad. My wife lived the lasagna. The fresh vegetable medley was delicious. My porterhouse was inedible. It was over-cooked yet had no sear. Tougher than shoe leather and essentially unseasoned. My advice? Go with any dish that's vaguely Italian. At least that way you'll spare some old steer the indignity of having its meat abused like thay.

Loved the place. Everyone was nice and helpful. Great place to go hiking and relax. Needed softer beds.
