The Red Room offers an inventive tapas menu rooted in Spanish cuisine, with hints of flavors from all corners of the world. Our traditional paella is celebrated for its authentic flavor, inspired by Spain's open-air food markets, while our popular shrimp ceviche and gourmet flatbreads represent perfect gourmet fusion. Chef Marshall Smith says he wants customers to walk away satisfied after trying his creative and innovative menu. And a tapas menu isn't complete without a homemade sangria list–including traditional vari... read more

25% tips? – My wife and I went with 4 others to Red Room because their food is above average. However, it took a long time for the server to ever bring us drinks. Sometimes the orders were forgotten and we had to reorder several times. I found that every time we ordered, regardless of whether we received our food and drinks, was added to the bill. The worst was, upon looking at the bill, a 25% tip was automatically added to the bill. 25%! Are you kidding? Who adds 25% and then has a place for additional tip. Because they are... read more
Excellent Sangria - Service only fair – The Red Room makes the best "homemade" sangria that I've had in a LONG time. Service was inadequate (we were sitting on the patio - as many other customers were on a very pleasant spring Sunday evening in May). We had to ask another server to take our order and take over from the other one (Ginger). Ginger finally came back, but service never improved. We still highly recommend the Sangria. We ordered the "traditional version" with sparkling wine. GREAT SANGRIA!
Still good, but sliding downward – Our first few experiences were exacting - informed service, unexpected foods and an attention to serving. Lately, though, I've noticed that all the servers recommend one or two of the same dishes without asking what we usually lean toward. We used to be asked, and being vegetarians, this was nice - instead we're blindly told the scallops and pizza are good. The empanadas used to be unexpectedly large with a crisp, light crust. Now they are more like heavy samosas. I did appreciate, and stil... read more
Paella? You call that paella? more like rissotto and an average one at that – It was the worst paella I had in my life and I am from Spain. They advertise the rice to be imported from Spain but it is not the typical rice used for paella (Calasparra o Bomba). Now, every region of Spain has a different spin on how to make it but these guys are making a rissoto paella, the rice was wet, bloated and sticky, it was barely yellow (maybe they forgot the salsafran). The chicken in it was the typical frozen tenderloin that you buy in... read more
Blatant Discrimination at the Door - Disgusting. – I am an attractive Caucasian female and for the second time in two weeks went to Latin night on Thursday, with my Latino friends, and a male was denied entrance for pathetic and blatantly discriminatory reasons. Last night it was because he was "wearing boots." After pulling up his pant leg to demonstrate that they were in fact, new, clean, shoes, the bouncer said that he couldn't come in because, his "pants were too baggy." I was wearing jeans that were torn around the bott... read more
Can't comment on the food, as we never saw it – My BF and I wanted to try Red Room after reading the reviews. We told the hostess we wanted to sit out on the patio. Our waitress came by and told us she would be right back. 20 minutes later, she came back and took our drink orders. We decided to place our food order as well. Then we never saw her (or our drinks) again. We sat there for another 30 minutes before we got up and left.
Sunday Night Tapas Tour -- a must try! – My husband and I strongly recommend Red Room?s Sunday night Tapas Tour. We have gone a few times now and it is always a culinary adventure! For $15 a person, you are served a chef-selected menu consisting of eight tapas, served in four courses, not always offered on the regular menu. Chef Colin?s ideas are inspirational and an excitement to the palate. He is always willing to share some cooking tips if asked and we admire his ability to combine flavors that we had not thought of befor... read more
Avoid the sunday night special – The Sunday night special you can read about below on another review used to be great. We recently were hosting a party for 8, and had had the all you could eat tapas special a couple of times. Not having been for a while, my wife called to ask if they still had it, and made reservations for 8. Turns out it's now $14.95 for a set course of Tapas. The worst part was they insisted that if only 7 people wanted it, they wouldn't serve it to us. Naturally the person that the selections didn't appea... read more
