My girlfriends and I decided to try Red Room Tapas Lounge last week. Once we got there we wondered why we had waited so long to try it. We had a great experience ? their tapas was amazing and really reasonably priced. I have to say their signature sangria was hands down the best I have ever had. The wait staff was helpful and polite. I would recommend this place for anyone who is looking to try some place new!
Great Night RUINED by Cocktail Server – I logged on to write this review and was floored by the previous entry. I couldn't believe that someone else just had the same experience. I am shocked that the server(s) at Red Room gets away with treating customers this way. Don't get me wrong, I was there with a large group and everyone else did have a good time overall. The server for our table was excellent, very polite and attentive. The music was pretty good (if you like only 5-10 seconds of each song being played). However, I w... read more
Beautiful Restaurant – Even if the food was terrible and the service was awful, I would still probably love this place just for the decor! As soon as you walk in, you just have to take a second to look around at how cool this place is. But decorations aside, this is still a REALLY great place for a night out on the town. I went there the other night and had the delicious swordfish, something I haven?t seen on many menus in Raleigh. Service was so polite and quick, food was really good, and atmosphere was enthralling. I reall... read more
Not so in love anymore – Some of the staff is amazing and kind. Others are rude and vindictive. I've been to Red Room both as a diner and as a club hopper. I've gone regularly for almost 3 years, and literally spent thousands there. On Halloween night, it was very crowded and people were pushing each other around left and right (significantly more people than capacity). Someone pushed my friend from behind, but she held her ground and refused to move. Moments later, the "pusher" said to my friend that she was "trying to work... read more
Great food, but not so great deal – We went to Red Room b/c we had a coupon for buy two tapas plates, get two free. However, when it came time to pay, we were informed we couldn't use our coupon and get the drink special- half off a bottle of wine. We had informed our waitress of our coupon as soon as we sat down and she didn't mention that it wouldn't work with the drink special. We never would have ordered a $26 bottle of wine if we had known! We have used these coupons at dozens of restaurants around Raleigh and never bee... read more
$3.00 for a CUP of WATER! – We had a great time there this weekend. Music, crowd, service, and drinks were great- no complaints! however, it really ruined it all when they charged $3.00 for cup of water that comes straight out of the tap! I just cant get into that. I think that is very poor customer service, especially when our party spent well over $500.00 there that night.
Business response:
We want to meet and exceed every guests expectations and we apologize for the misunderstanding. We sell bottled water for $3, but never charge for Tap water.
DJ set a great mood – My fiance and I went here for a fun night out last Friday, and we couldn?t have picked a better spot. Between the DJ setting a great mood and the delicious food we had a great time. With fast service and good prices, I know we?ll be going back, and I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a great night out.
Still hungry – We had the Sunday night tapas tour about a year ago. (Sorry for the delay in posting!) With a glass of wine each and a tip, we spent over $100 for four people, then went downstairs to eat at High 5 because we were hungry. We have not been able to convince ourselves to go back. The four of us normally have a maximum of 2 appetizers to share before dinner, but instead each essentially had our own $15 appetizer and ate complete meals afterward. The food was good, there just wasn't enough of it.
Something different from the average restaurant. – My girlfriend and I decided to try out something new so we went to Red Room for the first time the other night. We ended up having a really great time taking salsa lessons and it sure didn?t hurt that the Sangria was half off. I would definitely recommend this place if you?re looking for something different from the average restaurant.
