I have been looking forward to coming to the purple pig for a long time and I was not disappointed. It is a bustling place and thankfully I was seated at a community table within minutes. The service was absolutely fantastic as they gave great recommendations on wine and food. Some of the wines I had were the velvety numanthia termes from toro, an intense aglianico, and a powerful nebbiolo. It was an eclectic wine selection. The manchengo cheese was scrumptious! So were the chicken thigh kabobs. Definitely worth going back to. Small /mediated portions, but it's all about the flavor!

I thought the staff worked really hard but saw some gang related tattoos which made me think about there staff. i felt i couldnt even get a job there because standereds were geared to people of this sub culture.. Like only this type can work here.. and no one else..

Truth be told, this place was victim of its popularity. The waits were unbearable while the staff tried as best as it could to accommodate. Recently, with the arrival of Eataly across the way, the lines have become more manageable. Today at noon we were seated immediately. Just don't let people know :-)
