Located along the Magnificent Mile, this lively tapas-style restaurant is aptly named, specializing in "Cheese, Swine & Wine," but also serving a large selection of pork-free options. The prices are reasonable, with most dishes under ten dollars, and there's an extensive wine list. Sit at the communal tables and share some delicious Mediterranean dishes at one of the top restaurants in the county.

I travel to Chicago every month or six weeks for a few days, and I always have at least one meal at The Purple Pig. It never disappoints. A fantastic, high energy dining experience every time.
Fantastic cheese selection. The most diverse wine selection I've even seen. No domestics. Great experience!
The bone marrow and the duck confit were amazing! We ordered 8 courses "chef's choice" and it could not have been better!
Excellent dining experience. The place was packed but they squeezed me in at the bar with prime "prep" viewing. The wine suggestions were "right on" and I have to say the beef tendon was amazing. "Portion for one menu" would be a welcome addition - as a traveler who can't take a go box, I felt I wasted too much food. :)
Outstanding fare and appropriate portion sizes. Quite a variety of choices.
If you haven't been you have no idea what your missing. The beet appetizers and the bone marrow were to die for.
Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the spinach, broccoli, and foie gras antipasti dishes. The fried papas bravas were good. I especially loved Spiral cake (spell?) for dessert. The Nutella cake and panna cotta were good too. Wasn't a fan of the beet antipasti dish or the almond cake for dessert.
It is now one of my faves in Chicago! Everything was great!!! And the service was great too
Awesome food flavors and wine choices. Enjoyed every bite!!
