Small disappointments in the food. None of us that had the green beans liked them. And pot roast description said carrots but there were none in the three of us that had it. Otherwise food was good. We had a private birthday party for 20 and our waitress was the best. I did not catch her name but she was spot on. She was a gem!
RecommendedExcellent food, friendly staff, and, it's in an old meat packing house, hence the name. Great place to go for a good sit down meal. Also, the cinnamon rolls are highly addictive.

I brought my individuals and staff for our monthly dine out. There were 13 of us and they were able to take us at the last minute. Doug, our server, was fantastic and very professional. The food was delicious and we had everything from burgers to steak. We will be back again!
Very disappointing. We ordered spinach and artichoke dip which they were out of, my husband ordered the Reuben sandwich they were also out of that. His next choice was the tenderloin they were out of that also. The cinnamon rolls were very under done we could taste the raw dough. I mentioned it to our server, her reply was that they have been like that all day. She then brought us some different ones that were more done but they had a funny taste. We drove over an hour just to go there. It was not worth it.
Haven't been in over 15 years, having moved away from Galesburg. It's just as good as it ever was. Perfect steaks, perfect sides, cinnamon rolls just like I remember. I only wish they had a more extensive beer selection, but that aside, it was great.
Nice atmosphere, service good, dinner; featuring Sirloin Steak (Med. Rare), baked potato and salad bar. Sirloin was excellent. Cooked perfectly. The only problem is the salad bar, not the food itself but there is no place to put your plate, so you must hold it while you are attempting to get food items. The salad plates themselves are heavy and awkward to use. Overall, however the dining experience is pretty good.
