My husband and I went on a tour on July 21. My husband is not originally from the Burgh, and I grew up in the Kennywood Area. He was impressed with the tour, and I was amazed with the knowledge of the tour guide, Mario. We learned so many things about the sites and the people who helped form the communities that surprised us both. Great tour around the city Heather was a great tour guide pointing out many things around the city. Rich drove well and kept us safe. If you plan to take one of these tours check the schedule for your stop. I came out at 1:05 and waited an hour before I called. Found out I missed one at 12:45 the next one was at 2 which came a little late. But the tour was well worth it.
Had a great tour of Pittsburgh this afternoon. Beautiful weather today riding in the top of a double-decker bus all through the city! Our tour guide, Sean, was awesome! He gave us an amusing, yet fact-filled tour; telling stories of the history of Pittsburgh, information about the architecture, and the people who helped make the city great - with a focus on the greatest: Franco Harris! Great way, on land to see and learn about the city/area of Pittsburgh history. Most enjoyable, informative and lovely staff. I did decide on the hop on hop off... though primarily it also helped decide where I could go to other days.
