Was skeptical, but 100% satisfied I bought 4 bed sets for my cabin on Kelley's Island, and I thought the sales presentation was well-done, the prices very reasonable, but most important, everyone comments on how well they sleep! At my primary home, we have a very expensive foam mattress,and it is not as comfortable as what we got at Original. We've had them for 3 years, can't complain at all.
Steady prices One aspect of buying at OMF that I particularly liked is the consistency of their prices. It took me over a month to shop around and when I went back to the OMF store to make my purchase, the price was the same as a month earlier. No discounts of inflated prices, no gimmicks, no haggle.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME The customer service was horrible when you had a complaint. These people talk in circles and will admit NOTHING. We paid good money for an expensive mattress and got an unbalanced, uncomfortabe piece of garbage. We tried talking to the salesman where we made our purchase and he even admitted to having had other consumer complaints but could not help us. We went out to the "factory" and it was a nightmare. Saggy middle We purchased a king pillow top mattress set and after 3 years the mattress sags horribly. It is very uncomfortable in the morning trying to get out of bed with aches and pains. We had made a habit of turning both mattress and box spring, per company instructions...didn't work. We will not purchase another one.
Reliable, hassle-free and NO BEDBUGS! After doing some research before buying a mattress and learning about the bedbug outbreak and what a hassle getting rid of the pests can be and then learning about how most mattress companies only re-sleeve used mattresses returned by dissatisfied customers, I was pretty hesitant about buying a mattress. Don't be fooled by the hype! HATE IT!!!!! Bad mattress, bad "post" customer service. Do yourself a HUGE favor and buy from a merchant that has a comfort guarantee, or from a warehouse club with a GREAT return policy. Show room mattress feels nothing like the one they delivered to me, and the sales rep had a very snide attitude and said he would send a rep out to check the product, but it had to be defective... Consumer Reports Top Rated. Good enough for me. Went there after reading that Consumer Reports readers rated the Original Mattress Factory number 1, as a mattress store, and number 2 in their mattress quality. Happy Customer Bought a custom made 3/4 size mattress and box spring approximately 11 years ago. It is the most comfortable bed in the house. Because of some extremely hard use and staining on behalf of the user, I have decided to replace the mattress. I will definitely go back to OMF. They are very fair I am a former employee of OMF. I have read many of these reviews, and I don't understand why many of the consumers have not contacted OMF about the problems they are having. They have a 12 year full warranty on their Orthopedic line, and a ten year warranty on their middle of the road line (Regency and Legacy line). This warranty covers errors, defects, impressions of more than 1.5 inches, and if the handles break off. Many of the complaints on this website stem from body impressions.
