Great snacks at the oyster bar, and who doesn't love a lil putt putt while you wait. Don't forget the pickleback.!!
Fantastic food - oyster bar is worth the visit alone but the cocktails and entrees are icing on the cake

VALET LOSES KEYS. We have been loyal Optimist patrons since it opened but we will not be returning. The valet, for which they charge, made us wait 40 minutes at the curb then told us our keys were lost. We were told by the valet that this is not the first time this has happened. The manager did nothing more than come outside but shrug his shoulders, hand is his card and say sorry. No offer to comp our meal, not even to refund the valet fee. The freshest seafood I have had in Atlanta!
I had my birthday dinner at The Optimist last year and tonight. The frothy she crab soup is always amazing! Have to say though, I was a bit disappointed with the gratuitous amounts of red pepper in the scallop dish. So much heat, I could hardly taste the seafood. New key lime dessert was good! Service is always excellent! Will be back soon!
Excellent atmosphere. Wait staff very knowledgable, thanks Eugene. Food very good. Chowder well seasoned. Redfish would do Savannah proud. Seating for one challenging, couldn't help but hear both conversations on either side. Has to plug in ear phones. LOL!
