Great location but the food wasn't so great and the service was just ok .
We will not be returning, which is sad because we use to like coming here. Food and service has really gone down hill. My husband and I both had the same meal which was shrimp and grits with a side salad. The main meal was cheap compared to what we paid and the salad looked as if it was old.
Food was hot and fresh and we didn't have to wait long! Enjoyed it with a Miami Vice!!!
When in the Charleston, Aka 'CHUCKTOWN'.. You got to stop in one of the Boals Establishments..The Noisy Oyster, RB'S, these guys have been whipping up good food for many many years.. Local family born & raised here and treat you like Family...
The She-Crab soup is to die for! Best I have ever had. Crab cakes are wonderful. Again, best I've ever had. Husband said shrimp fettuccini good with lots of well-cooked shrimp. One star off for bar drinks--very weak. Prices are very reasonable also. Will definitely go again, but will have my cocktail before I go (not driving, of course,lol)
My boyfriend and I went here for dinner last night on a whim for date night, and we figured there would be a 20+ minute wait since it was peak dinner time. To our surprise, we were sat immediately! After a bit of a wait, we ordered drinks and an appetizer and they came a while later. For dinner, I ordered the Crab Snob steam pot which was EXACTLY what I hoped it would be! Really good crab cake. Great corner restaurant. Don't miss it.
The food was good. My wife's steak was very undercooked and had a lot of fat on it, but she said that she liked the taste. It was pretty much dead inside due to the superbowl. Made it quiet and service was quick. Server was awesome.
Great burger and the best fried bait in the Lowcountry.
