Celebrated our anniversary two years ago here and was fabulous. We dined in the Bar Room then. Came back for my birthday tonight and dined in the Dining Room. Eight course tasting menu - OMG. Cannot wait to go back to NY just to eat at the The Modern again
1st thing you feel is the immense attention to customer here. Ordered from their impressive wine list and had great Somm service by Barbara. Time in between arrival of appetizers and entrée was way too long and portion of the meal was too small. Excellent touch is that it's a non tipping restaurant
My niece and I were in the city visiting from CT for an overnight stay. We stopped into the Modern for lunch just before heading into the MoMA. The entire staff was attentive and the atmosphere was cheerful, our server was especially great! Both my niece and I loved our meals, but the star were the gougères we had as a starter! I would most definitely come back again.
Excellent customer service Price all included Great food but if you don't like too salty, let the waiters know
