My all time favorite restaurant in NYC. For many years now
From start to finish - 3 1/2 hrs the meal was scrumptiously sublime - the Maitre D' efficient and pleasant, the wait staff attentive yet unobtrusive - Most of the 8 course Chef Tasting Menu was not on the main menu or variations on the listed menu items - what i know is the meal was a cornucopia of textures and flavors. The lobster and Turbot were my favorites.
My wife and I were at the museum looking for a snack yesterday. We accidentally found this restaurant and had a 25th Anniversary lunch we will never forget. The food was perfect art and the service was impeccable, the best I've experienced in NYC. When I went to pay and saw that tips were included for this kind of service, I was surprised until I saw that it is another Danny Meyer group masterpiece. I can't imagine traveling to NYC and not coming back.
Outstanding food. Every dish was flavorful and presented with descriptive explanations. Each so distinctive in their taste and texture. What an experience. Staff was so professional but not stuffy. Easy to see each server adapted to the mood of their guests. We were celebrating my birthday and this led to a fun evening with the people who served us, especially or server Perla who I kept teasing looked like Jennifer Lawrence! This was my first visit but won't be my last.
An amazing experience with great services looking forward to going back .
