I am the care partner for my sister that was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s over 2 years ago.The Memory Care Center has been and continues to be deeply disappointing in terms of care. My sister has had other issues with anxiety and depression, which were largely ignored. Luci Samulis, the nurse practitioner was a kind, compassionate caregiver and probably the best part of bringing my sister to that office. Very disappointed! Scheduled an appt for my mother over a year ago (April 2025) which was canceled a few days before because the doctor “had to travel”. Scheduled another appointment for 6 months later only to be cancelled again! They canceled appt on “my chart”, no call, no explanation. Tried calling? Was on hold over an hour and had to leave voicemail! I’m still waiting for call days later. This process started 18 months ago and after reading reviews, I see it’s a pattern
Had very bad interactions here with one of the nurses. He was totally unresponsive, would not return multiple phone calls etc... Caused unnecessary stress to my mother who has dementia.
Trying to setup an appointment with a referral from Uconn and the memory center states it hadn't received referral from Uconn. Uconn is trying to contact Lisa in office about faxes but can't get anyone to answer the phone.
I waited 6 months for a neuropsych eval for memory loss, only to have it canceled a few days before. No one could reschedule it at the time. A week went by with no word. After placing multiple calls, I was finally told that they had no one to do the evaluation and I should look elsewhere. They did offer to make a referral, but no one has contacted me about that.
