Last night was my first visit to The Mark and I absolutely loved it! From the pre dinner phone conversation with Julia, then the amazing welcome when I got there with a cake in hand, you guys took care of us like we were family. Disappointingly BAD service. I haven't been to the Mark since the after party for the Bakersfield Film Festival 3 years ago. I didn't get waited on then. Anyone can have a slow start, but to see a business having this same problem 3 years later is sad. It has the makings of a fine place and the Jazz was wonderful. Hope they get their act together before another restaurant goes by the wayside in Bakersfield.
The service was good.But extremely overpriced for Appetizers and the Menu it did not taste that well.The bar prices were on point.I will give it another try.
We were seated and they brought one glass of water. There were two of us. Didnt get the second glass of water until after our food arrived(even though i asked three times). It took nearly 30 minutes to get our drinks. Took 1.5 hours from the time we ordered until we finally got our food. And the food was definitely not worth the wait.
Amazing food and service. Best rack of lamb I've ever had!
