We have been to the Mark before, and received excellent service. Because of this, we recommended it for our friend’s birthday party yesterday. It took over an hour for the food to come out. Three of the plates were colder than room temperature and one plate didn’t even come out. We ended up sending the three plates back and only half of our party got to eat.
The Bakersfield Jazz Workshop was great as always, however the set-up of the Musicians and the Entrance fro the Guests was a bit awkward. Hopefully next the Musicians will not be placed at the entrance and the Guests will not have to walk through the Dining area to get to the seating area of the Park. Other than that, the BJW was great, J2 was on his jam and poppin' and Crista was right on time with the Wine!! Laura it was cool seeing you again.
Honestly, I will not return to The Mark. It took about an hour for our saladd to arrive at our table, and after that another 30 minutes for our entrees to arrive. We made 7:00 reservations for dinner so that we would have enough time to go out to their live show on the patio, which started at 9:00. It was about 9:10 before we had gotten our food, eaten, and were able to go out to the patio. Im all for relaxed dining, but that was too long to wait for food, when the restaurant isnt busy.
