Every time I've been here I have had alcohol spilled on me by wasted patrons. Food and drinks are over priced. Nothing like getting hit on by a 50 year old when you're in your 20's or seeing a couple fingering each other and making out in the booths.
Don't come in here on a major drinking holiday- they will take your cover money and then promptly invent a reason to throw you out. What's more, their social media guy will say he's sending you a gift card for the trouble, but it'll never come. Overall poor experience, and it seems I'm not alone. From bouncer to social media guy, thanks for nothin' d-bags!
Let me preface this by saying I worked 6 years as a bartender in high end restaurants and always take many factors into consideration before deciding I won't return somewhere (are they short staffed? Are the issues beyond their control? Is the staff polite and trying to make up for any issues?). We brought my friend here for a small baby shower (essentially 5 girls and a few gifts). Sarah, I am sorry to hear about your experience. We do fill the entire restautant up for brunch and sometimes we need to seat tables near eachother as the restaurant does fill up. If you ever do decide to try The Lodge for another event we do have a full time event planner that would be happy to reserve a private room room for your group, no matter the size,for a small room fee charge. We will never go here again. Took 15 minutes to get a beer at the bar. Took 45 minutes to get appetizers seated at a table. They were out 2 items on the limited restaurant week menu. My steak my purple. Manager argued with me that it was cooked medium rare. It was raw and burnt on the outside. Terrible customer service. We will support local elsewhere.

$100 bill I paid last night, no comp after I waited over an hour for our simple order because the blonde drunk "manager" who was stumbling all over the place falling over makin an absolute fool out of herself gave my food to a table that hadn't even ordered their drinks last night. Went here on Saturday night after the home show; let me say it was great! I dont even know where to start, the restaurant is beautiful and our server Josh was exceptional. We started off sharing a fried goat cheese, it was a bit small but made up for it with taste! We really like this place! Very unique for downtown Buffalo. Had a great fish fry. And glad they brought back live music Fridays. Saturday brunch is terrific too. And upstairs with the game room is perfect for a private party!
