The name says it all. This bar and kitchen is a favorite with the locals in Coral Gables and throughout the rest of Miami. The bar features 24 different beers on tap, and the kitchen is equally impressive. The menu takes its inspiration from traditional bar foods, only classed up a notch or two, like their Brie "Mozzarella Sticks", Steak and Egg made with petit filet and tempura egg, or their bacon beignets for dessert. The Local was even voted to have the best bar food in Miami in 2012 by the Miami New Times.

First of all, ORDER THE BURGER. Don’t change or add anything. It is HEAVENLY. SO SO GOOD. Second, if Justin is working, request him! He was AWESOME and we so appreciated him!
Worst experience in 10 years in South Florida. Server is snooty, slow (like waited 90 mins for bread and drinks), management/staff ineffective and uncaring. Only 5 tables when we arrived so busy not the cause. We walked out- anywhere else is better. Go across the street to Threefold or around the corner to Tarpon Bend.
Enjoyed drinks and food tremendously! Couple it with excellent service from Ruthie that was spot on with drink recommendations and food! What a pleasant surprise!
Best bartenders in Miami. Proof of this is that bar managers and bartenders from some of the trendiest and high end restaurants and lounges come here to drink. Selection of beer is outstanding and beer on tap changes regularly. Food is amazing and fresh.
Micro gastropub in a clicky Gables district. I'd been dying to check out The Local since it made an appearance on DDD... not only was the service outstanding but by the time we finished we were in food nirvana. We were served dishes infused with flavor, flair and uniqueness that made a simple croque madame sandwich and the double hamburger with brisket an experience to remember and crave to have again and again!
