The Leaning Pear is owned and operated by Rachel and Matthew Buchanan, both native Texans and graduates of Texas A&M University. Upon graduation, the couple relocated to Perugia, Italy, to explore the tastes and techniques of Italian cuisine while teaching English for a year. They returned to the U.S. for Matthew to pursue a degree in Culinary Arts at the renowned Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Great restaurant with a nice windowed design that creates a very light interior.

Spacious area location within door and patio dining, delicious salads and friendly atmosphere.
Meatloaf dish was amazing. House salad is always delicious. Make sure you try the lavender olive oil cake. It’s the best thing on the dessert menu. Our server was very nice, professional, and friendly. The only thing we weren’t a fan of was the pantry board appetizer. But I can’t blame that on anyone but ourselves. Will definitely visit again.
We came here for our anniversary dinner with another couple while we were vacationing in Blanco. It was superb! Excellent food for great prices and we had an appetizer, salads, entrees and dessert!!
The food was delicious...
Excellent lunch. I Had the Pimento cheese sandwich and hubby had the Rueben and potato salad. Both were wonderful. Service was fantastic. Highly recommend.
We stopped in for lunch today. My pizza was so delicious! All of the food that came out looked wonderful, I kept checking out what others were ordering. This is a must go to place!
