The Leaning Pear is owned and operated by Rachel and Matthew Buchanan, both native Texans and graduates of Texas A&M University. Upon graduation, the couple relocated to Perugia, Italy, to explore the tastes and techniques of Italian cuisine while teaching English for a year. They returned to the U.S. for Matthew to pursue a degree in Culinary Arts at the renowned Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. I have been going to The Leaning Pear since they were in the location where Sugar Shack is now (that's a long time y'all). I am, absolutely and completely, in love with this place. They have my highest recommendation! Wish I could give them a 6 star rating.
Food was delicious & service great.
Enjoyed lunch here. Food was really good and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the weather!

The woodsy location is very “Wimberly,” and the food is thoughtful and very flavorful.
