Founded by David Dettloff in October 1995, The Ink Lab features experienced, award winning tattoo artists and body piercers from around the world. Located in the heart of the Uptown neighborhood. Our shop is clean, friendly and drug free, all of our artists and piercers are licensed by the state of Minnesota and regulated by the Minneapolis Department of Environmental Health.

I have been seeing David Dettlof for 8 sittings now since past November. i showed David something i like and he customized his own version of the idea and i can tell u that the half sleeve i got is so REALISTIC THAT PEOPLE THINK ITS A MOVIE SCENE on my forearms. Such a talented artist and a friendly shop. i met all the artists over there and they a pleasant and friendly. its my 3rd tattoos i am working on now, some cover up around new ones and i am impressed how David worked and incorporated them like they never was there. I have had several tattoos and will defiantly recommend/would go back to Ink Lab to friends and family. I went in a week ago with a couple of images and Ernejto nailed what I was looking for. the staff was very friendly and I felt very comfortable. I will be returning in the future!
