Very small store. Cashier never heard of Damp dry. Two woman out front cussing who worked there spraying off flowers. Unprofessional gossiping.They both were super nice, helpful and friendly at least to what we were looking for. Cashier came off very bitchy . Missed my great HD staff on Albemarle rd. Our regular store. Moved to Matthews, but will drive to our store.
Great experience at the Matthews store today, even though it was a holiday. Someone assisted us in every department we shopped in. So friendly & helpful. We've now decided to purchase flooring from them in a few weeks instead of what we had originally picked out at Lowe's. The cashier even asked if my hubby had military ID so we could get the veteran's discount on our purchases today.
Don't rely on their pro desk. The handymen either don't call at all or they don't call/text you back. Then, they don't show up after giving you a specific day or time - and they leave you sitting there waiting for them. A and D Maintenance Service is particularly bad in this regard. Home Depot shouldn't be recommending them. They're not reliable.
1 star is being nice. I moved to Matthews NC 3 years ago and have always had much success with Home Depot in the other cities that I've lived. This store should be called the self serve store because you can never find anybody to help or if you do their useless. I found a front door from Steves and Sons that I love. Went to the store 2 times, waited 15 minutes each time. I need to know cost and advice. Guess what, no body there. My time is very valuable to me and I don't have time to waste. Very unfriendly and unhelpful staff. They don't seem to like working there and it shows. I take my business to stores that believe in good customer service
I have always a wonderful experience at home depot.
Came in at 6:15am for a specific purchase and the aisle I needed to get down was temporarily closed. I waited a few minutes and never saw anyone so I left empty handed.
Rude cashier and manager. Stopped the 5% competitor discount! Way to push our business back to Lowe's!
