My water heater went out and I went into the store to get another. I applied.for a credit card the cashier was real nice so props to her. I walked around trying to get help and several associates ignored me when I was talking to them.. not just not acknowledging.... looked at me and went back to what they were doing. I finally got a guy to help me he selected a water heater and took me up front gave me the phone to naviage a really hard system to set up an install and left. I went today and Greg in the building department was awesome!! He helped me cut some foam boards so I could haul them home and was very pleasant and helpful! Love this store for that reason!!
Went to lawn and garden to find plants for the outside of my office. Found some annuals but was struggling to find the right containers. Billy Meeks asked if I needed assistance, not only did he help me find containers but also told me how to care for the plants and how to present them in the containers beautifully. He then even helped me load them into my vehicle.
From now on, I will be shopping Lowe’s, where they readily honor my service to our country without a hassle. Thanks to the Home Depot manager this morning for her help in securing my military discount. However, THAT SAID: I don’t appreciate having to get a manager over to intervene. What a hassle. And, apparently, this is what will happen each time because Home Depot’s “corporate policy” will not honor either my VA issued “Choose VA” Veteran Identification Card or my Arkansas Driver’s License with “VETERAN” clearly marked on... read more
I went to Home Depot with one purchase on my mind. I found it but it was too heavy for me to put in the cart. I got to the lone store clerks at the same time as a man, both of us beefing help. I said all I needed was for him to lift something for me, so he helped the man first and let me stand there and wait. He sold him flooring, loaded it in his cart and then volunteered to check him out while I stood and waited.
