I was at the Home Depot on Oakton Street today the one by McCormick. I went in just to get a few paint samples and some masking paper. In the short time I was there I counted seven customers without masks and two associates without masks and three associates with the mask below their nose. When I asked one associates why nobody is saying anything to the two customers without masks walking by all the associates he looked at me and said I’m not the manager and turned and walked away. I placed an online order which was mis-delivered to a wrong address. I never received it. HD did nothing to make it right they only called UPS (who I spoke with and confirmed they had delivered the item to the wrong address - I still don't have it). They would not send out a replacement and when I was willing to place a second order they wanted to charge me for it. That is NOT resolving the issue. Sorry - no more business to HD for me
This Home Depot definitely does not enforce “mask wearing” either for their employees or their customers. They are located in Evanston, and Evanston regulations require that all employees and customers must wear a mask inside a place of business. I have complained to employees and they just tell me to talk to a manager. There is no manager to be found, and no way to contact a manager on the phone. I've been trying to just talk to a human for 20 minutes - the last time I tried it was 10 before I gave up. Not even angry - just trapped at home and need help and am not giving up. But you already suck.
Melanie in the paint department is a true gem! She knows her stuff and was so helpful to me today.
They have everything you need. Only problem in each department I was in I couldn’t find help. I’m in the process of rehabbing my home and not one person walked up to me to ask for help.
This is a great store and the kids love going to kids workshops every month.
Love Home Depot excellent service and prices much better than Lowe's. I worked at Lowe's for a few years but still did all my shopping at Home Depot
