The company they use for hot water heater installations is terrible, they give you a price, then the installer comes and somehow there it is going to cost over $500 more, that the prices given to me were not what the installer has on his spreadsheet. Total scam artists.

We had windows and siding installed by Home Depot. Worst decision we could have made. The sales process was easy and painless. It was the install that was a total disaster and left me disgusted with Home Depot. As a previous employee of Home Deopt for over 10 years I honestly expected more. I had a great time at the Home Depot, watching my grandson Carter build a wooden airplane! It was so nice to see all the kids having a great time building the airplanes!
As others have stated, the service is terrible at this store with the exception of a few people. I have been to millwork three times to order custom entry doors and windows. Each time I had to wait approximately 20 minutes for an associate to show up. Today, I waited twenty minutes, contacted two associates, and eventually called the store from my cell while inside the store to get somebody to show up in millwork. The person answering the phone apologized, noted the associate was on lunch, said a manager would be right there... read more
Had a dishwasher installed today. Guy didn't bother to see if it worked. Started it up and the circuit breaker sparked and dishwasher stopped. This is not the only time I have had a problem with HD installations being sub-par. If not rectified quickly, I am done.
We went to Home Depot to replace a back door for our garage. Custom size but nothing special and I wanted something solid. They required we pay someone come out to measure the door. Then they had to order it. When it finally came in over a month later, we get a installation date 7 weeks later! Complaining to Home Depot about that date got vague promises about getting any cancellations.
