They'll answer a question, but God forbid you ask them to actually do anything. They call someone else and don't do it themselves.
An employee in electrical asked me if I needed any help finding a GFCI outlet today. Within 30 seconds of explaining what I was looking for, he accused me of not knowing what I was doing and that I should come back with someone else that was more knowledgeable. All because he thought I said that the outlet was on a switch. I found the outlet on my own and, since it will be simply replacing a current 15 amp GFCI that is a different color, it will go in without a problem. I've made at least a dozen trips to this store in the last month, while remodeling a house. All of the employees have been very helpful and educated in there departments. They're able to answer my questions, give advice and suggestions, and are always friendly. I wish I could name them all. Thanks for your help!
No refection on the local employees, but Hope Depot and their credit card are a huge disappointment. They will not refund a $25 late fee, even though the payment wasn't late it was short the min payment by a few dollars, a typo when I paid the bill and have been trying to fix since I realized it. Considering the security breach cost me a new debit card, that I now have to go thru and update with numerous companies it's the least they can do for my time.
Horrible experience, was having a plumbing nightmare after breaking the bathtub faucet stem trying to repair a leak, I went in to Home Depot to find the right stem, I could not find it, looked through the book to match up with no luck, I finally found an employee who just finished up helping another customer, I showed the employee what I had and with a smart alec condescending tone he pointed down the aisle and told me theres a book down there go read it, what a jackass, I took my business to Lowes where their employee actua... read more
