Great for shareholders, bad for guests. Do you miss 2012 wifi prices? Well travel back in time to a place that still has slowed wifi unless you pay, amongst other nickel and dimed amenities. They are unable to get some of the basics right. Like removing cup rings from previous guests from the surface of furniture, or putting matching lightbulbs in fixtures. These are the things even budget brand hotels get right, why not here?

Had a really great experience at Hollis Halifax. Aval at the front desk was genuinely warm and welcoming — exactly what you hope for after a long day of travel. He made check-in feel easy and personal, not just routine. Really appreciated his kindness and professionalism!
Quite expensive for no breakfast, even some muffins would suffice. The rooms were large and comfortable, the gym had a decent amount of equipment. The hotel restaurant is a little expensive and has a limited menu.
No self parking without a walk two blocks away. In winter this is not good. They advised valet parking, however that's only between 3:00 to 11:00. So when you checkout you are on your own. The heating system was loud. The TV built-in the bathroom mirror had a crackle sound. The hotel bar is only open in the summer.
