As a family member of a recovering opiate addict, I feel compelled to thank the staff at The Hills for giving our family members back to us. It is a joy to have him back.
My brother never recognized his addiction he had to his prescription medication until employers strongly suggested an in-patient stay at The Hills, following his car accident. We will forever be grateful to the compassionate staff at The Hills.
Finally having committed to my family and even more importantly to myself that I would beat the addiction ruling my life, I was struggling to find the rehab facility that would truly fit for me. It was here that I found solid options that gave me the sense I could really reach my goal. I was right.
I am a proud member of the LGBTQ community and to those close to me, I am just me. My sexual orientation means nothing to them and that is how it should be. But everyone does not see things that way and I was being harassed at work pretty heavily. I found that coming home and having a drink or two helped me relax and unwind. That one or two escalated really quickly. The all-inclusive environment at The Hills is exactly what I needed to get myself back on track.
Their group therapy alone has been a game changer for me. Just connecting with others from all walks of life and hearing their stories makes me feel so less alone. We are all very different but all fighting the same battle when it comes down to it. Pair that group therapy with the excellent individual therapy they offer and I have to say Hills Treatment Center can’t be beat.
This center really helped our child who was struggling with the effects of the pandemic-anxiety and depression. We can already see a difference from the therapy she is receiving. They really know how to connect with your child and help them find solutions and ways to deal with the everyday struggles.
After my cousin had a near fatal car accident, she never really felt right and was always in pain and was always on "something" as she says it. Coming to live with us turned out to be the best thing, because we were able to help her get into Hills and learn the right way to manage her pain as well as to deal with the things that manifested from the car accident. Having a brother who has dealt with addiction for several years and has relapsed each time is heartbreaking to watch. Watching him enter Hills and seeing the changes he has gone through and that he has been clean and continues treatment; we know we chose the right place for him! Hills not only helped my brother, they helped our family navigate this challenging time through their family programs.
My son’s life has been virtually ruled by his meth addiction for years now. He has come to me multiple times over the years vowing that he wants to beat it. I have accompanied him to other facilities similar to The Hills. None of them have been able to accomplish what we have hoped for. I am here today writing this because I am in awe of the strides he is making at here at The Hills.
