The unique and private setting they provide here is exactly what my spouse needed to unplug from the demands of daily life and the temptations that lurked there as well. The healing atmosphere and compassionate staff did exactly what their intent was for my family.

My mother is a very proud woman and holds a fairly affluent position. She resisted treatment and even resisted admitting that she had a problem. Learning that the center offered a program that catered to executives gave my family and I the leverage required to convince her that here she would be related to on her level and be amongst people she would be comfortable with. Forever grateful for this much needed program.

Kicking my habit was just not going to happen while I was still plugged into daily living and unable to focus 100% on my recovery. Coming here was a hard decision for me to make and it took me a while to reach it but I am glad that I have.

I was chosen as the “leader” for my brother’s intervention, not something I ever imagined having to do. But nevertheless something that we all realized was necessary. I received so much advice and instruction here. It never would have had the effect it did without this place. I think there is a fair chance my brother may be writing a review of his own in the not too distant future.

My brother’s substance abuse literally brought on a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde scenario. It got so bad that I was not comfortable having him around my children. I had to make the decision to tell him not to visit and it was heart-wrenching. The kids love their uncle and vice versa. I can’t say that is what drove him to The Hills for help but I can say that I am very grateful he found the place.

We thought it odd that our son who had never had a bloody nose once throughout his childhood was suddenly having nosebleeds frequently. Then his normally clear speech became slurred. Of course we knew something was up but were gullible enough to think it could be something medical. When we were intent on him seeing a doctor, he came clean about his new “huffing” habit. He’s doing wonderfully here and regrets ever starting the nasty habit.

We found out that this team really helped people get clean because they are caring and offer the help to everyone around the person not just the person. As a family who doesn't want to separate ourselves from our formerly addicted person having a team that helps us all made all the difference for everyone.

Getting a wonderful tool is helpful for any project. This really applies to our mental health too. I discovered that by coming here and getting the right support is far better than navigating through horrible options after no option after personal failures.
