The food that was brought to our table was not properly described in the menu (battered shrimp but the menu doesn’t say battered, pineapple in the coleslaw). I have food restrictions and two of the foods they brought to our table we’re not compliant with my diet even though the menu said they would be. Very disappointing! What if I was allergic to pineapple! They could have killed me! My husband and I went there last night and we're not sure if we will go back. The food was great when we finally got it. We were seated fairly quickly but it took our waitress about 20 minutes to take our drink order and then another 20 minutes to get our drinks. The wait itself almost made us leave. The staff seemed as if they hated their jobs and didn't want to be there.
We were seated quickly, but took our waitress about 20 minutes to take our order, (she was busy chatting with other guests , guessing her friends) then it took about 45 minutes to get our food, then was waiting for our ticket watched her go back to the other guest (her friends) about 3 times, finally got up and went to the counter to pay our bill. This place definitely needs some customer service training.
It seems there is a need for training at the front desk. Way too difficult to get a to go order. Potato brought out , then waited until pizza was done. Side salad and drinks not until we asked for them. Plastic utensils not until requested, and none of the order was put into a sack for easier transport. I will say the food smells good but the poor service is inexcusable.
The Hickory used to be our go-to date night but tonight's food was very, very poor quality. My burger was charred and very, very dry. And I miss the hand cut fries! Soggy steak fries didn't help. Sigh.
Cool vibe. Clean. VERY courteous staff. Party of ten, food took too long to get to our table. When plates were delivered to table, they forgot my “Simple Life Burger”. After a friendly reminder, my burger was delivered. I proceeded to cut my burger in half......no burger patty! Wanted to like this place, but meh.
We have been here a handle full of times in the early days it was open, and they had a great start! Food was good not great but good, service was just as good. We won’t be going back any time soon. Because lately it’s Over priced for the quality and portion you are getting. Haven’t had any bad service or time I get my food. But the amount you pay, you’d expect better quality or amount of food. A side of fries, $2.50, and it didn’t even fill a SMALL to go container. and they were COLD!
