I am very disappointed with our service, to the point we won't return. First off, when we arrived there were maybe 3 or 4 tables that were in use. The hostess was gossiping with a coworker, she told us that she would be right with us and then continued to gossip for 10 more mins. Secondly, when our food was being served to us, the waitress dumped fry sauce all over my child. The food was not good. Fries were cold, and the burgers was overcooked with no flavor. I talked to the server and she was very remorseful for the mishap. Unfortunately sometimes mistakes happen. We certainly do apologize for the mistake. We did issue a retraining about being more careful while delivering food to our guests. Thank you for the advice to my shift manager.

What a terrible experience I had at The Hickory! I ordered slices of cheesecake as surprises for my kids thinking I'd get the same nice big cheesecake slices they served before the lock down. Nope! The slices are now about 1/3 as big. But they are the same price. After I picked them up, I opened the packaging and noticed. When I called to talk about it, the staff admitted that the size had changed but the price had not. The Hickory website says they strive to have the best service in town and this could not be more true! Not only were they eager to serve us even though we walked in right before closing time, but then went above and beyond to give us a great experience while we were there. My husband kept joking with our effervescent young waitress about wanting a beer, which of course is not available in Rexburg. She went to the kitchen and then, like a mad scientist, created a specialty soda concoction that looked just like the real thing ... read more

I've been to the Hickory once in January and once in February. Both times we had to wait 5 minutes before someone acknowledged us to seat us. It was lunch time, and only a few customers. The food was good both times. The waitstaff was adequate and we enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming, just wish they actually had real people to welcome you when you walk in.

waited ten minutes just to talk to someone about being seated, after seated we waited 20 minutes for a waitress with no luck. ended up leaving. won't be back.

The waitress was very rude to us and took the liberty to add a 22% tip for poor service. We also waited a very long time to get our food that ended up being small portions. Not going back

We received our bill and the server took a 22% gratuity. After dropping fry sauce all over my daughters jacket and not even apologizing. Not to mention our fries were cold and our “well done” food was more like rare. We didn’t complain about the food because we didn’t want to be rude but we should have. Especially if they’re going to tip themselves 22%.

Over the years I only stayed coming here for one food that was made amazingly. Then they took it off the menu. They still had it in their system though so I could order it even though it wasn’t on the official menu. But then they changed that. I get things change, but between slow service, food being wrong or not that great (for other people) it’s disappointing.
