From its not-so-humble beginnings as the home of Carl Hilmer Guenther in 1860, it has been restored into one of the more unique dining experiences in the city. RecommendedVery good, did take out because of the long wait. Thank you to the waitress that was taking care of all of us. You were fantastic!
Fantastic staff and food was scrumptious....love the fresh fruit, biscuits and sausag gravy, etc.. ended up with two pastries too...basically BOGO...great experience.
TRICK TO SKIPPING THE RIDICULOUS LONG SOMETIMES 1-2 HOUR WAIT—- go in and say you want to order to-go. You can sit at any of the tables next to the house or on the lawn and they will still come wait on you, drinks and all, your food will just be brought out as take-out. We did it last weekend and again today while other guests waited hours. You’re welcome.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Food was amazing and service was out of this world. Peach preserves was so good I bought a jar for home. Definitely a must go and hidden gem of San Antonio
Extra clean, fast service and tasty food. Only waited 15 mins after checking in for breakfast. Great river walk in a quiet part of town.
